SVG import is rasterized, not vector optimization. HEIC/HEIF are import-only. Camera RAW and PDF are not supported. No converter supports every proprietary image variant.

A few things worth knowing.

Which image format should I choose?

WebP is a good choice for smaller web images and supports transparency. JPEG is widely compatible and works well for photos. PNG preserves transparency with lossless encoding, but can create larger files.

Will every image become smaller?

No. Results depend on the original image, format, quality and dimensions. Already optimized images can become larger. We display the actual result so you can decide whether to download it. Lossless formats do not use the quality slider; choose WebP/AVIF to reduce their size. For resizing and circle crops, open the separate Image Resizer tool.

Are my images uploaded anywhere?

No. Your images are processed locally in your browser and disappear from the workspace when you refresh or clear them. Conversion creates a new still image and does not preserve animation or original metadata.
